2018 Service Trip: Guatemala - San Lucas & Chichicastenango A Project of Marywood University
Help Marywood students on their service trip to Guatemala!
A team of Marywood students and faculty will travel to the San Lucas Mission in Guatemala for a Summer Break service trip, continuing a nearly 20-year-old service tradition.
Students will participate in a cross-cultural experience, working alongside Guatemalans, hearing from community members, and learning about the richness of the Mayan culture. They will also participate in a wide range of service projects, which will include assisting at a coffee processing facility, a reforestation project, a women's center, and more. The group will travel to Chichicastenango to lead educational activities for children at Anunciata School that promote learning of the English language and to build relationships with the children.
How can you help?
As participants in Marywood's Summer Break service trips program, we ask for your support. First and foremost, we ask for prayers for the safety and success of our work. Secondly, we ask for your financial support. Our goal is to raise $7,000 to help cover expenses of this trip.
Thank you for your prayers and your generosity!
